Venue: Stella Adler Center for the Arts (65 Broadway, Floor 2, Sanchez Theater, New York, NY)
Date: Running September 5th - 30th, 2024 at 7:30pm
Website/Tickets: https://www.stellaadler.com/cultural-center/harold-clurman-laboratory-theater-company/the-cherry-orchard/
Description: Ryan plays Yepikhodov in HCLAB’s new production of ‘The Cherry Orchard’ by Anton Chehov and directed by Tom Oppenheim. When Liubov returns to her country estate, she finds old friends and the comfort of familiarity but also old wounds. As she struggles to understand the impending loss of the estate and make sense of the broken lines in her life story, some of those around her are finding ways not only to move on, but to thrive. The Cherry Orchard asks universal questions about the human experience. Can we ever go back to the past? How can we move forward when we feel broken? What is it that propels us toward progress even against all odds?

THE FRE by Taylor Mac (world premiere)

The Fre

Ryan will be playing ‘Hero’ in the world premiere of
’THE FRE’
BY TAYLOR MAC
DIRECTED BY NIEGEL SMITH
FEBRUARY 28 THROUGH APRIL 12
AT THE FLEA THEATER
The Flea’s spring 2020 centerpiece will be the World Premiere production of The Fre by Tony Award® nominee and Bat Theater Company alum, Taylor Mac, and directed by The Flea’s Artistic Director and frequent Taylor Mac collaborator, Niegel Smith. The Fre tells the story of an intellectual aesthete who is trapped inside a mud put in the middle of a swamp by the swamp’s fatuous inhabitants who call themselves the “Fre.” Using a combination of potty-mouthed prose versus heightened verse and loosely based on The Frogs by Aristophanes, The Fre will take audiences literally and figuratively into a mud pit to hash out the current political divide. It is a play for all ages; children and their families are encouraged to come.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL Entirely From Memory

TADA! Theater (15 W 28th St)
Thursday, December 19th at 8:00pm
Friday, December 20th at 8:00pm

Ten Bones Theatre Company is thrilled to be back with the show that started it all: A Christmas Carol Entirely From Memory. The team of performers will attempt to perfectly recreate Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" as best they can without the aid of scripts, rehearsals, or a convincing British dialect. All they'll have to guide them is their memory and an unshakable holiday spirit. How certain are we that they'll succeed? So certain that we're making it harder for them.
To add to the challenge, there are a few rules:
-Performers won't know what role they are playing until they get onstage.
-Performers must incorporate lines written by the audience.
-Performers must incorporate any sound effect played by the tech booth.
-One lucky audience member will be given a horn that they can honk four times. Once honked, the actors must create a deleted scene that has no business being in "A Christmas Carol" but makes perfect sense given where they are in the story.
Love the story? We got you covered. Never seen it? We got you covered. You think you saw it once and you kind of remember it? You're probably in the show.

Performers: Willy Appelman, Eric Austin, Ryan Chittaphong, Ben Furnas, Molly Gaebe, Claire Gresham, Kyra Jackson, Alexis Lambright, Elizabeth Leimkuhler, Pete McElligott, Austin Sanders, Andy Schneeflock, and Scott Thomas.

Arsenic and Old Lace

Celebrated as playwright Joseph Kesselring's most successful play, Arsenic and Old Lace is a side-splitting, farcical tale. An American classic, Arsenic and Old Lace first debuted on Broadway in 1941, in which New York Times critic Brooks Atkinson raved that the production’s “casual point of view that is so robustly entertaining.” Filled with colorful characters and witty plot twists, this quirky comedy is one for the ages. This production is directed by Tony Award-nominated Gregg Edelman (Broadway: City of Angels, 1776, Into The Woods; BTG: Constellations, Deathtrap).
